KawanaLife: Pastor's Pen

Malawi: Established in 1891 as a British Protectorate of Nyasaland.  Became the independent nation of Malawi in 1964.  Had 30 years of rule under president Banda, free elections held in 1994.

Major concerns:  government corruption, population growth, decreasing agricultural lands, HIV/AIDS.

Today we will be ministering to the missionary fellowship and helping with the Sunday School. Yesterday we visited lake Nyasa, it is 580km long (Nyasa means lake- how about that).
